Branding for Imaginary Forces

Brand Design, Brand Communications, Copywriting

Overview
In 2021, I was part of the core team responsible for shaping a new era of brand identity for Imaginary Forces, led by Creative Director Ronnie Koff and Art Director Nicole Dileo. The initiative redefined how the studio visually and verbally presented itself across client communications, social platforms, internal systems, and brand-facing materials.

Working closely with leadership, I helped execute the visual language of the rebrand while also establishing a cohesive tone of voice and communication framework that unified both external and internal-facing materials.

Objective

Objective

The goal was to modernize the Imaginary Forces brand while creating a clearer, more unified system for communication. The refreshed identity needed to reflect the studio’s cinematic legacy while supporting a more contemporary, streamlined, and scalable way of presenting work to clients and internally across teams.

Approach

Approach

The system balanced minimal design with expressive motion-led storytelling. We introduced a refined visual language built around bold typography, restrained layouts, and a distinctive gradient-led palette, paired with a tone of voice that was smart, accessible, and conversational.

Alongside the visual refresh, I focused heavily on creating consistency in how the studio communicated—from capabilities decks and client presentations to internal templates and communication standards. This helped establish a more cohesive brand experience across every touchpoint.

Impact

Impact

The rebrand became the foundation for how Imaginary Forces presented itself during a pivotal period of growth and visibility. The systems and templates we developed were adopted across departments and became embedded in the studio’s day-to-day communications, influencing everything from client-facing decks to social content and internal materials.

The visual and verbal identity also informed the direction of the studio’s public-facing presence, including the evolution of the website and broader external communications seen across the industry today.
