Feeling homesick is a relatable feeling and being 2,000 miles away from home may be taxing. Garden of Memories attempts to connect the feeling of being far away from home by emulating a sense of comfort as users interact with the space.

With short vignettes and bits of memories from strangers accompanied by a portrait adds a sense of familiarity and wonder.



Ideation

Who we will test: people who are far away from home  (homesick or reminiscent of their childhood…)

Audience: people who can easily relate to the feeling of being away from home. Something universal. We’re trying to capture that feeling through technology.

Mood: a source of comfort for the user

Aesthetic components: flowers or some floral aspect

Narrative complete: prototype 2 = start compiling stories and basic aesthetic of project
